Control Unit 197
The
CCU 197 is an electrically powered hydraulic control system equipped with
a PLC, which controls all motions on the Jetframe 102 as well as Jetframe
122. This control unit can also be used to monitor and control other machines
like tailormade machines for pillar, tunneling hydrodemolition etc, made
upon request.
Design
The CCU 197 is built on a three-wheeled frame complete with a protective
hood. Inside are an electrical cabinet with PLC and an electrical, 11
kW (15 hp), motor that drives the hydraulic pump. The control valves are
separated from the CCU and located at the unit they control.
PLC
controlled control system
All
functions are set and monitored from an operator's terminal.
There
are a variety of pre-set parameters (programmes) to choose from. These
programmes assist the operator when choosing the base settings for a particular
job. Once selected the unit is ready to go. The Close Loop System monitors
the progress of operation from the same terminal.
The
remote control box is used to manoeuvre all functions of the unit. This
includes the positioning of the cutting head and feed beam. Automatic
operation commences by pushing the appropriate button.
Recommended
for whom?
This control system is mainly used for the Jetframe 102 and 122. It can
also be used for other machines that require a control system. When concrete
removal is required inside a nuclear power station for example, this unit
can be useful as it is remotely operated.
