Jetframe 102

The Jetframe is a versatile and remotely operated, computer controlled high-pressure water jetting machine for the selective removal of concrete from confined spaces and areas and surfaces inaccessible to standard Conjet Robots.

The lightweight Jetframe operated from a CCU 197 can be fixed to the concrete surface being repaired. The versatile Jetframe system can operate on a variety of horizontal, vertical and angled and round surfaces and it can be quickly and easily dismantled into separate components, each weighing less than 50 kg and able to pass through a 500 mm square opening.

Design
The Jetframe 102 consists of two aluminium side rails, which can either rest or be bolted to the surface being repaired. The rails, normally between three and six metres long, but can be built to suit customers' requirements, support and direct a special high-pressure nozzle.

The nozzle, covered by a protective shroud, has a preset angle of attack to the concrete and is mounted on an oscillating cassette, which is attached to a traversing cradle running back and forth along a feed beam.

When the cradle reaches the end of its travel the nozzle swivels over to maintain the same attack angle, which enables the water jet to operate with a sweeping action and cut away concrete behind any reinforcement. The Jetframe 102 is typically powered and operated from a small and light 11 kW (15 hp) electrically driven hydraulic Computer Controlled Unit, CCU 197. The Jetframe 102 can also be controlled by the Robot 363 and Robot 322 as well as the Robot 432. When using the robot as the control source, the distance to the Jetframe is limited.

Fitted with the optional hydraulically driven rotor head the Jetframe 102 is ideal for surface preparation on concrete or steel surfaces.

Recommended for whom?
The Jetframe system is recommended to be used when the robot, for various reasons, cannot access the surface that needs to be removed.

Features

  • Replaces dangerous work such as jack hammering and hand lancing in confined areas.
  • Can be mounted and demounted easily at site.
  • Electrically driven in order to protect the operator from exhaust inside a building.
  • Remotely operated.
  • See additional features in the hydrodemolition method.

Power and reaction force
Powerpacks incorporating a high-pressure water pump recommended for the Jetframe 102 should be rated from 200 kW (270 hp) up to 400 kW (540 hp). The maximum reaction force for Jetframe 102 is 1400N, which is equal to 190 l/min (50 US gal/min.) at 1000 bar (14500 psi) or 160 l/min (42 US gal/min.) at 1400 bar (20300 psi).
