Robot
322
Conjet
Robot 322 is the smallest Robot in our range for fast, selective, vibration
free removal of damaged concrete from horizontal, vertical and over-head
surfaces. This small Robot opens up new areas for mechanised concrete
removal and replaces the manual methods like hand lancing with water jet
and jack hammering. The design is very compact and it has been developed
to work in confined spaces and areas inaccessible to larger hydrodemolition
machines. The Robot passes easily through a 0.9 m (3ft) wide opening,
depending on the attachment mounted.
The
exceptional manoeuvrability of Robot 322 makes it the perfect machine
for operations in confined areas like a culvert, access tunnels, inside
concrete box girders, under a harbour deck as well as on regular bridge
deck and parking decks but with less production than our other range of
robots. The low weight, evenly distributed via the tracks, makes the Robot
322 working safe and easy on platforms and scaffoldings.
Fitted
with the optional hydraulically driven rotor head the Robot is ideal for
surface preparation such as scarifying concrete, removing membrane or
steel surfaces, like ship hulls or decks.
Design
The Robot 322 consists of a self contained, crawler mounted undercarriage,
electrically 7.5 kW (10hp)powered with an integral control system. This
allows progress of the hydrodemolition process to be remotely and safely
controlled and monitored away from the hazardous cutting area. The track
width is adjustable to improve stability, when needed. The speed of each
track can be independently adjusted to avoid deviation when working along
walls.
The
Robot is equipped with a single oscillating nozzle. The nozzle, which
can be set at different angles of attack, is mounted on a traversing cradle
running back and forth along a 1.5m (5ft) long feed beam. Safety is paramount
which is why the entire nozzle assembly is covered by a protective shroud.
The feed beam is attached to an arm mounted on a rotating turntable fixed
to the Robot's crawler based under-carriage.
PLC
controlled control system
The operation is monitored from a safe location at the back of the Robot.
From this position all parameters are set and speeds adjusted, so there
is no need to climb up the cutting head to adjust the cutting width and
whatever you set yesterday is remembered today.
The
remote control box is used to manoeuvre all functions of the Robot. This
includes the positioning of the cutting head, tracks and boom system.
Automatic operation commences by pushing the appropriate button.
Speed
and revolutions are set from a small panel at the back of the Robot next
to a small operator's terminal. The terminal provides the operator with
information of the ongoing work.
Recommended
for whom?
Contractors that would like to invest and use the technology but finds
the existing alternative to be a too large investment or existing customers
with the intention to expand the utilisation of hydrodemolition technology
with work at smaller sites and in confined areas.

Power
and reaction force
The Powerpack, high pressure water pump, recommended for the Robot 322
to be used are Powerpacks rated 200 kW (270 hp) up to 400 kW (540 hp)
as long as the allowed reaction force is not exceeded. The maximum reaction
force Robot 322 is designed for is 1400N (Newton) which is equal to 190
l/min. (50 US gal/min.) at 1000 bar (14500 psi) or 160 l/min. (42 US gal/min.)
at 1400 bar (20300 psi).
